Jordann Steilacoom Senior Pictures

What a fun session!

It was even more amazing when I noticed Jordann's mom had Oregon plates on her car. I'm from Oregon so I asked her where she was from- she responded:

'Oh, a small town no ones ever heard of.'

I said 'Try me! I'm from Oregon.'

She said 'Myrtle Point'

I said 'NO WAY! My husband is from Myrtle Point!'

She said 'GASP- your married to Mike Lund??? We graduated high school together!'

Really they are from a teeny, itty bitty spot in the road called Broadbent and it was so strange to run into someone from there in Washington- what fun!!!

It made our session with Jordann all the better. She was so brave in the cold and windy weather. Kept her beautiful smiles on all the while! I can't wait for you to see the rest- you're going to love them!

Festival of Trees- youngest tree sponsor

I was so thrilled to be able to capture the culmination of months of work for young Ben Weymiller.

Last year Ben was a tree host at the festival, where he watched to make sure children didn't get too close and hurt themselves amongst all the glorious trees, toys and decorations. Last summer he decided he wanted to raise money himself for Children's Hospital and chose to sponsor a tree at the Festival of Trees. At 13 Ben is the youngest tree sponsor ever.

With the help from amazing Gig Harbor interior designer, Samantha Moon, they put together a tree with decorations and gift donations of over $5000 dollars.

The tree's theme is 'Sound Full of Joy'. A nautical tree representing all of the amazing things to do around the Puget Sound area. BerryLane Photography was honored to be asked to donate a photography session and an 11x14 art print.

Yesterday I witness the creation of this beautiful tree! Enjoy- and don't forget to attend the Festival of Trees Dec5th & 6th at the Greater Tacoma Convention and Trade Center.

Maternity Photography Gig Harbor- TWINS!!!!

¡Hermosa Madre Embarazada! (Beautiful Pregnant Mother!)

This breathtaking family is just stunning. Mommy is pregnant with twin boys, which will be so much fun for big sisters "K" and "C." I had the pleasure of having both girls in my preschool class, and can't think of a sweeter family.

It was delightful to spend time with their growing family, and help them create memories through photography.

She could be a model!

This sweet young gal convinced her parents to let her have her own mini session during one of our Raspberry Snap days.

Her whole family (mom, dad, brother, sister) came to watch as she posed, smiled and giggled! At the end she gave us both big hugs and said 'That was so much fun! I felt like a model!'

She could be! What a gorgeous young lady.

Swimming family photos

This family had a unique idea for their family portraits. At the pool!!!!

Both mom and daughter are on swim teams, and dad, well, he just snorkels around.....
I love it when a family chooses something, fun and different and completely them for their pictures. It makes it so much fun!

One of my favorite girls!

I was so excited when Addy came in for our most recent Raspberry Snap mini sessions. The first time I photographed this little, spunky gal was a few years ago on a cold fall day at the beach. It was super fun to capture a completely different look for her. All glammed up!

And I am especially happy I convinced mom to pop in for a few shots. Those will be Addy's favorites in the years to come.

Tacoma, Pierce Country, Actor Head Shots

Myranda is a local actress who needed head shots. Her agent specifically requested color 8x10's for her auditions. It is great to be able to accommodate each actor's needs! She will get a set in color and a set in black and white.

Myranda first headed to Club Biella for elegant, yet age appropriate make- up, then we headed to the studio to play and take these gorgeous (and fun!) images!

My sister's family

My sissy's darling family! Hooray!

We've been waiting for these gorgeous fall leaves to make an appearance - and they have! My adorable nieces and nephew were such fun to photograph, and definitely earned their hot cocoa treats. I love the way their gentle smiles truly reflect their precious hearts. (And, if you see a hint of mischief sparkling in those eyes . . . well, you are not mistaken.) These children gave my sissy and bro-in-law a gift they longed for - they gave them the names "Mommy" and "Daddy." And, I get to be their auntie

Flying for Photos!

This beautiful "Tribe of Five" flew me all the way to Tennessee to take their family photo.

It was more beautiful than I could have imagined! We borrowed a friend's farm for our session, and the kids had a ball running free. Ranging in age from three years to thirteen, they come together to form an amazing family photo. Mom is one of my dearest friends, and I was blessed tremendously to be able to spend a few days in her beautiful home just outside of Nashville. Thank you, friends, for loving me well.

Fall leaf family

It was a delight to shoot this session together!

With one of us behind the camera, and the other focused on posing we ended up with a super-fun photographic opportunity. It also helps to have a gorgeous family . . . that's were the "B" family came in!

Our time in downtown Tacoma was fun for all - including little puppy. The leaves have just begun to fall, and that provided beautiful landscape for us. Enjoy these images - they seem to capture what this beautiful family is all about - JOY!

BerryLane Celebrates Adoption

I have a special place in my heart for adoption. So, when Erin asked me to find a photography outlet that allowed me to be creative, have fun, and bless others, it didn't take me long to settle on an idea - adoption! Once a month, BerryLane Photography will honor an adoptive family with a complimentary photo session.

This family posed beautifully on their "family tree" down at Kopachuck beach. All six children (plus Mom and Dad) provided me with an extremely full-filled afternoon. It truly filled my heart to spend this time with them and capture the love that exudes from each individual - and especially from the group of them together.

Mommy had a chance to gaze lovingly at each child for a personal shot, and then Daddy took each child aside for a tickle-session-shot.

This family is really what it's all about . . . love. Thanks for sharing that love with me, "D" family!

Actor's Headshots- Tacoma WA

As you can see, we had a lot of fun creating Ryan's headshots. My favorite is the 3x3 emotions collage for the back of his comp card.

What fun! I would name off an emotion and Ryan got to act it out. We had:

Confused
Happy
Afraid
Worried
Surprised
Sad
Bliss
Angry
Joyful

Can you figure out which is which?

Sarah- Senior Pictures Tacoma

I was so happy to have another beautiful day to photograph Sarah! She came with a fresh manicure and pedicure and even sweet Kessie had a special appointment at the groomers. What an adventure for a cute little pup!

Sarah, of course, was amazing, fun and gorgeous and I think her pictures reflect the day. Thanks for a wonderful time Sarah, mom and dad- I can't wait for you to see the rest!
