Henderson Bay with Ally

What a lovely morning! We timed things just right for lighting, and our efforts paid off. Ally chose a beautiful location - the home of their friends, the Undems. From the very first shot, Ally's sweet mom (my friend, Debbie) was in tears. It was a joy to be a part of this special time in their lives. The emotion and beauty of the day shined through in Ally's genuine, all-american smiles. It was a delight to hang out with this very cool duo - and gifting your photographer with brownies and a dozen red roses makes things extra sweet! Thank you both so very much. - Heidi

Heat Wave in Steilacoom

From her outer beauty to her inner beauty, Jasmine was something special to photograph! The family was so flexible, and willing to make a quick location change due to that big, bright sun at the beach. We moved up to the nearby town of Steilacoom for some great shots, and ended back at the beach for Jasmine's "Trash the Dress" images. She is nothing short of gorgeous! It was a pleasure to spend time with her sweet family and friends, too ~ her mom, grandma, niece, and friend helped us with outfit changes during this session in the hot summer sun. It was a group effort, and a really fun group to work with!

Oregon Wedding (part 2)

Oregon Wedding

We rarely do weddings, but it was such a pleasure to fly to this out-of-state venue. The beautiful couple exchanged vows on a cliff overlooking the ocean at Cape Blanco, the westernmost point in Oregon. It was glorious setting and gorgeous day. Caleb and Amber kicked up their heels at a reception in Bandon, surrounded by friends and relatives from near and far (many flew in from Louisiana). This was a day to remember, and I'm so glad I was able to capture these memories for Mr. & Mrs. Swenson! ~ Heidi

{Maddy} Puyallup senior pictures

Maddy was so fun to photograph! It is not often that I work with someone who is so completely comfortable in front of the camera like Maddy was. Maybe it has something to with with the fact that Maddy is an amazing photographer in her own right. I got to quickly look through her portfolio and was very impressed. She has even taken a few of her own senior sessions! I'm honored she came to me for her portraits and can't wait to photograph her group of best friends that have started calling! Enjoy your sneak peek. It was hard to choose- I had so many favorites!

Gig Harbor Family Photos

I was so excited when Kim told me she was wanting to have family pictures during our most recent outdoor Raspberry Snap session. Our daughters have been friends since kindergarten and play on the same soccer team. And, actually just had a sleepover last night!
Heidi generally photographs all of our family sessions, but I still got to be there to do all the posing and hanging out with the fun families we had that day.
I just LOVE these gorgeous, sweet, beautiful images that Heidi took of this most awesome family!

Junior Sailing - Wollochet Bay

It's been a thrill to watch the Junior Sailing Program this summer . . . especially because my own eight-year-old son has joined the fun! Run by the Tacoma Yacht Club, this program operates out of Wollochet Bay, just south of Gig Harbor. A shuttle bus transports students from east of the Narrows Bridge. They provide small class sizes (5-7 sailors per instructor). Using 100' of dock space, they utilize six Optimist dinghies, eight Lasers, six 420s, and several safety boats. It is fabulous fun! No chipmunks were injured....

That's right- no chipmunks were injured in the photographing of this event!

This is Marco- my daughters beloved kitty. Generally speaking he is a bit of a hunter, but for some reason he just thought it would be much better to hang out and play with Chip.

Chip just calmly stayed on the planter, walking around. Marco got bored and walked away. In fact we finally (for his own safety) had to encourage Chip to leave!

It was a pretty fun experience for my girls and I to see this strange half hour animal encounter. I kept checking to see if chip was foaming at the mouth or had any other infirmity. But no- I think he was just an 'extreme adventure' chipmunk!
