Delightful Quartet

Just look at these curls! Big sister "E" and little brother "J" are just completely darling. Her curls and his contagious smile combined for a fabulous photo session. Mom and Dad are just as sweet, and their love for their children shined through.

The sun and 91 degree weather caused us to re-think our beach plan, so we found some perfect shots in this beautiful yard to capture the charm of this delightful quartet. Mom wisely had a few of "E's" favorite treasures nearby to help encourage her. Unfortunately the friendly dog nearby decided to use them as chew-toys. Off to Target to replace the beloved horse figures . . .

A wonderful photo session in a fabulous location with an enchanting family - perfect!

Summer- Federal Way Senior Pictures

So many outfits- so much fun!
I had a fabulous time down at Redondo Beach with Summer, her mom, her brother and her pup (Mikey is too cute!).

Even though it was so very hot Summer looked cool as can be. And talk about comfortable in front of the camera! Summer was easily able to give me any look and any pose I asked for. What a photographers dream! It was so nice spend time with this wonderful family. You guys are so cute together.

Sweet Maternity- Gig Harbor

We found some perfect morning shade to keep this maternity mom and her family cool on a 91 degree day in Gig Harbor! It was so great to share in the joy of celebrating this pregnancy.

Mommy is completely darling, with a perfect round belly. Daddy and soon-to-be-big-sis just made this photo session all the more enjoyable. It is gratifying to spend time with families like this, sharing in the special moments of their lives for a brief time, and helping create memories that will last a lifetime.

Thank you, darling "B" family, for sharing your family with us!

Ariel-Gig Harbor Peninsula Senior

Pretty awesome being a fireman's daughter! We got to go to dad's station and hang out with some great guys and this super cool firetruck. What fun- I've never photographed using a firetruck as a backdrop. I love trying new things and getting to be creative.

I think mom and dad were pretty shocked at how gorgeous and grown up their oldest has gotten. Just wait until you've seen all the images! Thanks for an amazing shoot.

Happy Birthday Grandma!

Happy Birthday, Grandma!
This family honored the big day by hosting a photo session at their beautiful home. These grandparents are blessed with two great sons, their lovely wives, and six handsome little grandsons. (Hooray for soon-to-be-baby-girl on the way!)

We took advantage of perfect weather, a gorgeous yard, and a dozen beautiful people in these pictures. Getting all 12 to smile at the camera required some funny noises and actions from this photographer, and it was my pleasure to make a goof out of myself for them. Spending the morning together was a great way to begin Grandma's birthday celebration!

Kaitlyn- Tacoma Senior Pictures

You can't tell from these pictures but it was hot, hot, hot on the day we shot them! Kaitlyn was a trooper. We were out there in full sun searching for tiny slivers of shade! It was a relief when we moved on to Titlow Park where there was a bit more of a breeze.

Kaitlyn's outfits were perfect and can you imagine a better, more gorgeous smile! What a natural in front of the camera. Looking forward to you seeing the rest!

Lauren- senior pictures

I met Lauren at Club Biella and hung out while she got her make-up done. Then we headed out to the Theater district of downtown Tacoma to start taking her senior pictures. The sun was shining and it was hot, and those wardrobe changes in the car were killer. But, you'd never know from the looks of these images!

I really enjoyed visiting with Lauren's mom and grandpa who came along to watch the fun. And one of the best parts was our second location- inside the Albers Mill Lofts. I have never photographed there before and it was amazing! I love going to new places. Thanks Lauren, mom and grandpa for a really fun day!

A very special location

Photographing this family was well worth the drive to Maple Valley! The special park we shot in was a sentimental spot for their family. We got a fabulous group photo beside the very stump at the lake where Daddy proposed to Mommy years ago. They were also married in this park, so the surroundings were the perfect place for a family photo session.

These darling kids were in my preschool class for several years, and have now moved on to elementary school. This has become a very special family to me, and it meant so much to photograph them. They are beautiful - inside and out!

Energetic Boys!

This sweet mommy has big love for her two little energetic guys! It was great to watch her smile and encourage them to do anything other than stick their tongues out at the camera.

We had fun playing on the steps Grandpa just built that lead from their new house straight up to their grandparents'. Later, we walked down to the beach and found some great spots for the boys to climb and explore. Like most little ones, they could have played at the beach for hours! It was fun to spend an afternoon capturing some special moments with this family.

Mandi- Senior Gig Harbor

Another fun and fabulous day taking pictures of Mandi. She described to me the urban and the beach look she was going for and let me choose the locations. How fun!

Mandi just got back from vacation in Hawaii and her beautiful skin just glowed.... wait, maybe that was the super reflector work from her little sisters! They didn't just find the light- they blasted it! Poor Mandi, I think she was blinded several times!

Here is a little blog sneak peek of a few more images. Gorgeous- enjoy!

Brittany: Gig Harbor Senior Pictures

Brittany was just a dream to photograph! And the location she chose was fabulous; the private property of a family friend. She had so many neat outfits that worked well on the beach, the dock, the rocks, the deck- everywhere!

And mom- you just rocked the reflector! By the end I didn't even need to help you find the light! Way to go! I can't wait for you both to see the rest of the images. Don't you just love the trio storyboard? Perfect pics for that!

Tacoma Coffee Shop Family

So much fun! Exploring the streets of downtown Tacoma with this family was fantastic. I loved watching them let loose and have fun together. I've known "mom" since I was a newborn myself, and my family enjoys every moment we get to spend together with this family. Taking their pictures made me happy . . . just spending time with them makes me happy!

Their popular coffee shop is a hot-spot downtown, so it made sense for us to roam the streets taking pictures in their own "backyard." Enjoy!

Krista- Stadium High Senior Pictures

It pays to know some one in 'high' places. Lucky us! We got to start Krista's session on the roof of Stadium High School!

I can't believe those crazy, gorgeous purple high heels too! And the wind! It made for quite a fantastic adventure.

I think my favorite place to photograph was in one of the old brick turrets that make Stadium look so cool and castle-like from the outside. The lighting was fabulous for dramatic looks. And of course I had to include at least one shot of Krista and her amazing, gorgeous smile!

Thanks for such a wonderful experience. I can't believe what a lucky photographer I am!

Scouting Locations- downtown Tacoma

With so many requests for 'urban family' and 'urban seniors' we decided it was time for another location scouting trip to downtown Tacoma.

We dressed up the kids in fun outfits so we could practice shots in different locations.

Unfortunately they found it much more entertaining to pluck staples from the 'Happenings' board than posing for us.

What's up with that????

Erin & Heidi

ps: so excited- discovered a very cool little street we can't wait to take clients to!
