Nick

Another great session- battling the coldness all the way. You'd never know from these images though!

Nick, I loved you outfits, your attitude and your smile. You seemed to have as much fun as I did!

Stephanie

Seriously- how cool are these images! (ok- mom, the first one is for you!)

Stephanie, I love your style and your confidence to be who you are. You are beautiful and it was such a pleasure to photography you! Don't forget to send me your myspace link- I want to hear your band!

Fairy Princess

Yes indeed- we were dodging raindrops and snowflakes to do this session!

Luckily I knew of a covered picnic area that worked just fine for the vision we had for this little fairy princess. It is so fun to work with the parents and stylize a session in a way that really captures a child's personality! I hope you love them as much as I do mom!

Guitar Girl

I had to show a couple more shots from this session because I love it when special items are brought to a shoot.

I could tell this guitar was special. She hadn't played in a while, but you can see how natural it was to her. These are two of my favorites- love them!

Sisters

I first photographed these sisters three years ago and boy have they grown! Talk about gorgeous young ladies! (And best of all- they really seemed to enjoy being photographed so much more then when they were 5 and 7!) Thanks for such a fantastic shoot girls!

Gig Harbor Chamber

I am so excited to be a new member of the Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce! I have a strong presence in Tacoma, Puyallup and Federal Way but not nearly as much as I would like, right in my own backyard- beautiful Gig Harbor!

After talking with several Chamber members I realized what I had been missing out on! All kinds of great opportunities to get to know local businesses and cross promote each other (I'm especially excited to meet some frame shops!). My first business after hours event is next Wednesday and I can't wait!

Three Boys

These three brothers were all so very unique and different. They were lucky to have their cousin (who I took pictures of last fall!) there make them laugh and smile, and show them how it's done. And, even though it was really cold outside- in the end, they just couldn't resist burying their feet in the sand! They are, after all, boys!

I love the square crop for these images. It's a fun and different look that people are really enjoying. A perfect fit for the Three Squares collection.

Reid

I know nothing about guy shoes... I am a girl, I am a mom to girls, my hubby (who is not a girl) is an engineer who has to wear steel toed shoes. So I had no idea there were so many cool guy shoes around. A pair for every outfit.

Here's the deal- Reid loves shoes. Reid has a good friend who works in a shoe store. Lucky Reid!

Little Mommy

This is one of my favorite kinds of sessions.

We just set up a scene, had this little Miss bring her favorite doll, and let her play. She was such a good mommy and always wanted to keep that baby nice and warm in her blanket!

After about 20 minutes she said "Okay, I done, no more pictures.' And that was it! No more crazy paparazzi allowed!

Mom's vision!

This mom had a vision!

She wanted to decorate her daughters room with some great black and white images of her daughter with her best friends. How cool is that? We found a time when all the friends could be together and started shooting!

We did jumping shots, attitude shots, sassy shots, laughing shots. The girls had a blast and so did I. This great image of their feet (you can see their personality even in just their feet!) is going to be a framed 10x20 on the wall- amongst a 16x20, a couple of 11x14's and an 8x10. What a lucky girl!

Casey's 1st Photo Shoot

This week Casey (remember-I'm her senior project!) and I met and discussed artistic composition. There is so much you think about as you are directing and posing someone during a session, it can be overwhelming! You really have to have an eye for it. Casey does.

Then she came along with me to shoot and was able work with this young lady on her own for a bit. Just look at the fabulous images Casey got!

She hasn't learned editing yet (all digital images come out half baked (RAW for you photo enthusiasts)- and you have to finish cooking them in photoshop). So I finished the 'cooking' for her. But I am just so pleased at the great expressions and composition she came up with. Way to go Casey!

It's Raining Again!

Yep- it's raining again! Not to be fooled by that bought of sunny weather, the Northwest is back to doing what it does best!

A lot of you wonder how I make my decisions on whether to call a 'rain out' or not on your session. I go here, the most wonderfully accurate radar weather site I could find. Look, on a rainy day you get to see all kinds of pretty colors!

And, sometimes an umbrella makes the perfect accompaniment to make a dramatic shot like this one! Beautiful, Blayne!

Locks of Love

This young lady recently donated over ten inches of hair to Locks of Love and this was her first photoshoot with her super cute 'new do'! Now her next decision is 'Grow it long, keep it short? Grow it long, keep it short?' She can't decide!

Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under age 18 who are suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis.
