Jen

Well, it was a good thing Jen marked on her questionnaire that she was 'maybe' interested in the windblown look because it sure was windy at Browns Point!

We really got some awesome cool windblown looks! But, luckily we found quite a few spots that were protected from the blast and Laura (my stylist from Biella) was able to get Jen's hair back under control.

I think these images will make some great wallets! Let me know what you think.

Marisa

Another fun session with Marisa. I love how she changes her look up so easily. She has a great smile and a fabulous serious look. Add in different hair styles, hats and wardrobes changes and talk about variety! Don't you just love the windblown look? That was all natural wind there- no leaf blower in sight! I can't wait for you to see all the great shots we got Marisa! Soon- I promise!

Ribbon Cutting

Each new member of the Gig Harbor Chamber is recognized by having an official 'Ribbon Cutting Ceremony'. How fun! It was a giant ribbon and an even more giant pair of scissors! I was going to try and post an image- but the draft sent was a word document and I'm just not tricky enough to know how to change it into a jpeg!

But, if you're tenacious enough you should be able to find the image somewhere in the Peninsula Gateway newspaper. This is what they wrote about me:

BerryLane Photography is best known for providing a fun, fresh, high fashion look to high school senior portraits—images that really show a senior’s personality. Each senior session includes a personal stylist whose whole focus is on making the senior look their best. A different approach is taken with the family and children side of business. Here they go with classic, black and white images only—creating timeless pieces of heirloom art. BerryLane Photography works exclusively on location using all natural light.

Pretty cool!

New business cards

Ok- so the title of this post sounds pretty boring, but hey- my new cards are SO COOL!

My daughter was wearing this cute little tank top that perfectly matched the color of my new high school senior business cards. My photographer eye said 'Heeeeyyy!'. So I called her over, gave her the two cards (so you could see the front and back) survived the eye roll that ensued, and took a couple of snaps (I wish you could see how sparkly they are!). Love them!

And a big thank you to my awesome graphic designer- Lisa Kase from Dimond Kase Designs. Check out her other work. It's terrific!

Senior Mini Sessions

I'm really happy to be able to announce a new session available for high school seniors.

Seniors have such busy lives that sometimes it's hard to fit their senior portraits in amongst college visits, college applications, work, sports, parties, prom's, school work-what else! I think this will be a great fit for many of you! (especially those guys that are just doing them for mom!)

Introducing:
The Senior Mini

$175- includes a professional stylist
1 hour session
1 location
3-4 outfits
20-25 final images

This is perfect for those with not a lot of time that still want all the benefits of custom photography. You can still bring your sports equipment, your dog, your sister or anything else that helps define your style!

Call now to book your Senior Mini! 253-861-1115

Spring Break

I love Spring Break!

I just spent the last week down in Oregon at my parents. My parents are usually crazy active and always have something going on.

Remember when razor scooters first came out? My parents bought a pair and for a while every Sunday morning they were 'scooting' to a local bakery to have coffee and pastries for breakfast. Then they decided to run a marathon (which my hubby and I got to be the crazy paparazzi taking pictures the whole way!). They were awesome!

This time, as I was driving down I got a call from dad saying he was on his way to the emergency room. He had split his lip open teaching my nephew how to do a flip.... (several stitches later, mom's new name for him is 'fat lip'!) Then we weren't there barely a day when my mom tripped on a bedspread and we were off to the emergency room again. Mom has a sprained ankle (dad's new name for her is 'gimpy'- sigh....) So we were slightly less busy this time.

But, I have to say, my mom and dad are so cool! What an example of a great (if somewhat crazy) marriage. It's been almost 50 years! I walked into dad's new workshop and saw this picture on the door. Awww- how cute is that!

My Stylist Laura

Meet Laura! How cute is she?

Laura is one of my stylists from Biella by Ruth Michelle Day Spa and Salon. She comes out to all of my senior sessions to touch up hair and make-up, assist with wardrobe choices and basically help in any way she can to make sure you and your images look the best ever (she has even been known to haul gigantic drums around to set up a scene!).

And, rumor has it she does some pretty out of this world prom hair and make-up too! Call her for your next appointment! (682-2005)
