Converse

These are my daughters Converse and I think she's due for a new pair!

Did you know that if you go here you can design your own? You get to pick three different canvas colors, stitching color, inside color- well, all these different parts of the shoe that I don't even know what they're called- you get to pick the color of. And you can even have them personalized with your name, your friends name, your cats name, your business name- what ever you want! How cool is that!

Happy Birthday!

This young lady had been a model for me since before I even started BerryLane Photography!

And- It's her birthday today!

We have so much fun- she is always coming up with new poses she likes, or new expressions (no smiling with teeth on this day!) and she never wants the session to end! Happy Birthday Miss A!

I am a Senior Project!

How cool is that? This is Casey and I am her Senior Project!

We will be meeting several times over the next few months so I can teach her all about the photography business. She just learned about the thought process in determining what type of photography business to start and all of the many expenses that you don't automatically think of. Next week we are getting together to do some shooting and learn about posing and composition.

Once we get to the editing part hopefully she'll let me post some of her images here!

1st Communion

Here are some 1st communion images that we took for this class room auction project. You can see the first images cropped square as they will be on the cross and then what they will look like as a 5x7. I also included the class picture (cropped to an 8x10) for a sneak peek. Just wait until you see the finished product- it is beautiful!

By the way- these kids were so sweet and well behaved! They really followed instruction well. Great job parents!

Kyle

I always love taking pictures of seniors who have acting and theater in their background. Kyle could give me different looks just like that! And talk about comfortable in front of the camera. So easy! You 'killed' this session Kyle!

Tweens

Don't you just love Tweens? They are so not little, but not quite big and they love getting their pictures taken! Here are a few shots from another great session at one of my favorite locations- the Narrows Bridge Viewing Park.

Almost Spring!

It's almost Spring! Well, almost.... Hasn't this mild weather been wonderful? Look what I found in my yard today- the first crocus are starting to bloom. And, yes, I know you were wondering- I did lay on my stomach, on the walkway, in front of my house, just to get a picture of these cute little signs of spring!

More Scarves

More scarves and fun winter wear!

It was perfect Washington weather- a nice cloudy sky- natures own softbox! We had a great time taking pictures throughout the rolling hills of their estate.... (ok, it was their backyard, in the middle of a neighborhood, but it really looked like how I imagine Thoroughbread country in Virginia or Kentucky to look- you should see all the amazing pictures!) Anyways- look how great those two kids are getting along! What? They don't always get along that well?????

Mommy Moment!

I'm having a 'Mommy moment'!

Both of my daughters act at Paradise Theater where they have the most amazing acting program for kids. They recently finished performing Cinderella and yes, I'm having a mommy moment because my oldest was Cinderella! I just had to share a couple of snapshots. The first is my youngest showing me backstage before she got into her 'Suzy Mouse' costume. The next two are Cinderella goofing around in her 'rags' costume before the show, and at the end with all of her flowers. They try out for Charlotte's Web next week- I can't wait!

This little gal was such a joy to work with. She really knew how to give me every expression in the book- even while focused on adding to her collection of white rocks!

A while ago I posted about our new Mini Trio Storyboards. I wanted you all to see what they look like framed. Aren't they super cute, classy and elegant! (just like all the portrait photogs I know- I just have to add the disclaimer that I am not a product photographer! But you get the idea!)

Ayo & Lindsay

A while back I did engagement photos for Lindsay and Ayo. It was so great to go to the location where they got engaged to do their session. What a special time! You can read about how Ayo proposed here: Ayo & Lindsay

Now- is that website cool or what! What a great idea to have all of your important wedding details online for your friends and family to see! And aren't they lucky to have such a talented friend who designs websites for a living! Man, when I got married there was no such thing as the internet..... and I'm not that old either!

Auction project

Oh my! How cute are these kids! I had such a fun time at my daughters class today. We are putting together a hard bound alphabet book starring these wonderful little people for the school auction! Our theme is 'Curl up with a good book'. I photographed from A to Z and everything in between. Here is a peek at a few of the pages!

We almost canceled!

To think we almost canceled! The weather report said high winds and rain all day. At 8:30 am it was sprinkling and the radar showed nothing but rain. I called and said we ought to consider re-scheduling, but, instead we decided to give it a try. Lucky for us we did- look at these amazing pictures! The rain dwindled down during our shoot, and just when I looked up at mom and was about to say "We did it! I got everything we were looking for." The skies opened up and it poured the rest of the day!

Question: Why should you get your pictures done now???

Answer: You don't get great hood shots like these in the heat of the summer!

Sloane

Thanks to a couple of her friends mentioning me, Sloane found her way down from Kirkland for her senior photo-shoot. She was cold, I was cold, but her mom who flew in from Phoenix to be there was really cold! Wow, when you take a look at these images you would never know it was supposed to snow! Thanks for a great time ladies- I can't wait to show you the rest!
